CR-21 BRIDGE - LOGANSVILLE, OHIO

BUILT - 1882

CR-21, which was originally called Logansville and Muchinippi Free Turnpike bridge, over the Great Miami River, in Logansville, in Logan County, Ohio. Construction Date-1882. Length - 143'. Structure Type: Single span, Metal 10 Panel Pin-Connected Whipple (Double-Intersection Pratt) Through Truss, Fixed. Builder/Contractor: Massillon Bridge Company of Massillon, Ohio. Rehabilitation date 1997. Inventory Number-4631838. Bridge was realigned, parallel on the southern side of the new bridge. GPS: 40.351200°N, -83.938510°W. It was determined eligible for the inclusion on the National Register of Historical Places.
{This bridge was one of the main crossings of the Great Miami River, especially when the river was high. Several old schools are close by and it is quite obviously that the students and their families would cross this bridge almost daily.}
